Mr. Townsend says:

The information I have indicates that an Thomas Smith Sr. was born in
Hempstead to Abraham Smith Jr. Thomas Sr. was reportedly born before 1672,
and died in Hempstead on May 13, 1732. Thomas Sr. Reportedly married a
Marjory and had four children in Hempstead; Robert (1695-??), Thomas Jr.
(1718-1783), Christopher (<1720-1741) and Anthony Thomas Smith (1723-1810).
My line is (reportedly) traced to Anthony Thomas Smith. From Hempstead, the
path leads to Cape May, NJ, and from there to Monroe county Ohio, where
Anthony Thomas Smith Jr. was born.

No, but I would like to know how to do that.

Me too!

I am only a few thousand miles away here in Northern California, but I do
travel to Connecticut from time to time on business. I will be in Hartford
during the first two weeks of June.
