It is not a denomination. There are no other denominations that worship Mary & the Saints or believe pergatory for that matter. They treat the Pope and their priests as God here on earth. Jesus says in the bible no one can come to the Father except by Me, not a priest or pope. It is a religion unto itself. There are no doubt Christians that are Catholic. But just because someone is born into a religion doesn't make them a Christian. Anymore than living in a garage makes one a car. God doesn't have grandchldren.
