Hi Elizabeth,
I too would like to share any info on the Hobbs
My GGG Grandparents were Fanny McLana b. ?/?/1762 d. 5/08/1819 and Elisha
Hobbs b.8/13/1744 d. ???? Their daughter Mary Hobbs b. 10/20/1777 d.
10/31/1851 married ?/?/1796 Thomas Lowe b. 3/4/1767 d. 5/8/1847 Mary and
Thomas were the parents of Thomas (my Maternal G Grandfather) and William (my
Paternal G Grandfather) Thomas married Rebecca Dunbar and they named one son
Samuel Hobbs Lowe (my Maternal Grandfather) Samuel married Civilia Celia
Lewis and they named their first daughter, Fanny Elisha Lowe my mother was
another daughter of Samuel and Civilia and she and Dad named their first son
Doyle Hobbs Before Mom died she had written that Elisha Hobbs'
father,Thomas was from ....."Midry...from Scotland" Let me know if this
