Thanks for the response and the very nice offer.
If you are in a place where you could check this for me I certainly would
appreciate it.

I have a marriage date for Joseph Carter and wife, Catherine Duncan (not
certain of spelling or name) November 16, 1731, Bensalem, Bucks Co. Pa.
I, at one time, had Joseph's wife as Catherine Ammon, which I was told was
not correct. This date came from a "book" written in about 1931, by a great
aunt, long since dead, of course.
Anything you might find would help. Joseph is my 5th great grandfather.
