Re: Origins of William Mickle...From what I can gather in the "Immigration of
Irish Quakers" on CD Ruth, John and Robert Mickle were siblings. They first
appeared in New Garden MM in 1730..Robert married 10 mo 19, 1733 at London
Grove MM, Chester Co, Mary Beverley and had Ann, John, Sarah and Jane...If
your William came from this family it would have to be through John, who was
b. 8 mo 12, 1736

Robert's brother John m. 1736 to Jane----and moved to Menallen Township,
Adams Co, PA about 1747. Children were; Sarah b. 10 m 29,1737 who married her
first cousin (see above) about 1760 for which she was disowned, Elijah (who
in 1758 left for parts unknown) Hannah, Jane, John b. 12mo 4,1753, Samuel b.
2mo 26,1756, )

There is lots of info on this family that I have....At least this narrows
down who the possible fathers could be. Let me know the names of their
children, and I can let you know who some of the other people mentioned are.
This family got in lots of trouble and was censured in the MM notes quite
often!
Sincerely, Debbie Harrison
