Might someone please be able to clarify contradictory information on Willis Peele [b. 1837] of IN?

>From information compiled long ago by my WARE family, I have Willis' spouse as Alice Ann Burdg [d/o William & Martha Cope Burdg] and two daughters, Glenna and Neva. However, in Driftwood-Sand Creek MM, Willis [listed as a s/o Jesse and Zilpha Parker Peele], is listed as spouse of Alice Purdy [d/o Wm & Martha] with 5 children including a Glenna and Neva.

Since Alice Burdg was born 1852, I'm wondering if there could have been a 2nd marriage and the children listed as being part of the first family?
