Ancestor Augustus Edwin White, b. 1823, birthright member of Piney Woods
MM, Perquimans Co., NC, m. 1848 Margaret Ann Bundy at Symons Creek MM
(Pasquotank Co.). Mid-1850's the move to Richsquare, Henry Co., IN,
attending Richsquare MM.

His son, John Richard White, b. 1850, Belvedere, Perquimans Co., NC,
attended Earlham & then became a teacher at Friends Academy, LeGrande, IA
in 1874. In LeGrande he meets & marries Mary Willits, d. Ammi Willits, b.
in LeGrande or poss. in Ohio in abt. 1851.

The North Carolina part is documented in Hinshaw. I'm looking for records
that will help with the Iowa events. After Iowa, John Richard & family
moved on to South Dakota, and may have left the Society of Friends...
