I just browsed through the referenced site and found some wonderful
information on migrations--a subject discussed a few weeks ago.

I have yet to have time to post my Atkinson information into my data base
without even thinking about posting it here.

Subject: [Q-R] Nichols, Heath, and Buckingham
This is in reply to the query dated 05/15/2003 from Gene Fuller, concerning
the wife of Aaron Mendenhall, Jr. a miller to whom land was deeded in Mill
Creek Hundred, New Castle County, DE by members of the Nichols and
Buckingham
families.
Aaron Mendenhall, son of Aaron Mendenhall, son of John Mendenhall and
Elizabeth Maris ---- married Mary Woodward.
Mary Woodward was a daughter of William Woodward and Eliza Marshall.
William Woodward was a son of Richard Woodward, Jr. and Deborah
Stanfield.
Richard Woodward, Jr. was a son of Richard Woodward, Sr. and Jane
_____
(whose maiden name may have been Nyle or Nayle).
John Newlin (1690-1753) son of Nathaniel Newlin and Mary Mendenhall) was
probably born in Concord Twp., Chester County (now Delaware Co.) PA.
He married in 1711 at Concord, Mary Woodward, dau of Richard Woodward,
Sr. and Jane _____.
Nathaniel Newlin was a son of Nicholas Newlin. The Newlin family came
from Ireland to Concord Twp. in 1683.
Mary Mendenhall was a daughter of Thomas Mildenhall and Joane Stoud and
a
sister of John Mendenhall who married Elizabeth Maris. Mary Mendenhall
was born in Wiltshire, England. The date of her birth is unknown. She
came to Pennsylvania ca. 1682-1684. She married Nathaniel Newlin in
1685. She died in 1728.
My data for the Woodward family is taken from the web site devoted to
"Woodward Genealogy":
http://geocities.com/Heartland/Farm/4038/index.html
My data for the Mendenhall is mostly taken from Mendenhall genealogies and
my
own research. My mother's maiden name was Mildred Mendenhall.
I have not been precise with dates because some of my sources tend to
transpose Old Style dates to conform to the modern calendar.
