On 6/14/2003, I asked: "Is anyone working on the Gardner family of
Nantucket? I am looking for information on Prince and Mary Gardner and
Benjamin and Rachel Gardner, . . . .They were members of Nantucket MM."

Several persons responded (Many thanks), but their Gardners were not the
people I needed. Since then, I have come across a source that told me much
of what I needed. It is Eliza Starbuck Barney Genealogical Record at the
Natucket Historical Association, Nantucket, MA. This 19th century
genealogical compilation focuses largely on Quaker families of Nantucket.
Nantucket Historical Association has made it available online at its
website: www.nha.org on a subpage about its Research Library. The
Genealogical Record has a master index of surnames, and is also fully
searchable by first name and surname. Also most names are linked to the
other names mentioned in each entry. I have not seen anyone on Q-R refer to
this resource before, and I thought folks might be interested.

Farewell,
Edsel Burdge
