Could your Fourney be a Forney? The name Forney has many variations.
I have a Miriam Marie Mendenhall, b. 1830 NC d/o Himelius & Priscilla
(Coffin) Mendenhall, NC>IN, md. Samuel Forney, b. 1824 in Berks Co., PA.
They had a son, Charles Fornia, b 1855. Samuel Forney died about that time
in IN.. Miriam remarried twice after that; and she was with the second group
of Mendenhalls to migrate from Miami Co., IN>Harrison County, IA ,where some
of her siblings were including my G-Grandparents, Hiram C. & Elivira
(Mendenhall) Moore. I did find Samuel & Miriam's marriage records in his
Forney Families church in PA.

Miriam Marie Mendenhall
There was a name change from Forney to Fornia, in Miriam (Mendenhall)
Forney/Fornia. The Forney's are in Pensylvania. While the Mendenhalls were
Quakers, the Forney's were not, but rather Meninnites of PA -- <York>
<Lancaster> <Somerset> <Berks> <Southern Forneys> . I received name change
information from Doris (Fornia) Hansen, a descendent of Miriam (Mendenhall)
Forney/Fornia.

Subject: [Q-R] Need some help
> Hi everyone, a new acquaintance of mine is having trouble finding anything
on her family, the name is Fourney. I think it sounds familiar, maybe
Quaker. They lived in the south, then came west to Pasadena. Any
information will be greatly appreciated. Yours in friendship,
