Joy and Greg,

While reading your correspondence, the name Lindley popped out at me. My
daughter-in-law descends from Quakers, also, and I am trying to study her
lines as well as my own.

She has a ggg uncle named Lindley Murray Presnall born b 5 July 1840 in
Henry Co., IN. His father was Daniel Presnall (b 1810 in Randolph Co., NC);
his mother was Rachel Huldah Ratliff (b 1812 in Surry Co., NC). I have
always wondered if the Lindley was a family name on the maternal side.

Interestingly, there is a cousin (of the Lindley Murray I just mentioned)
named Lindley M. Presnall b 5-8-1856 in Grant Co., IN to Absalom Presnall
and Tamer Beauchamp (his second wife).

I just wondered if you had ever heard of these two with the first name
Lindley or if you know of any Lindley women descendants marrying into the
Presnall line.
