Judy, the only children listed for Phebe and Jeremiah are Mary (wife of
John Way) and Jeremiah (married Elizabeth Ely), but no dates are
mentioned for them.
The children of Mary Brinton and William Jones, no birthdates for any of
them:
1. Phebe.
2. William, died 1778, m. Mary Dilworth
3. Joseph, d. 1783, m. Rachel ____
4. Thomas, d. 1819, m. Edith ___
5. Samuel, m. Lydia Crossley
6. Mary
Just to make things more confusing, I just found a marriage record in
the 300 Years at Birmingham book:
"5.25.1758
James Miller, of Sadsbury, yeoman, son of James (Dec'd), of Kennett
Phebe Jones, daughter of William and Mary, of Birmingham."
So now we know where Cope got that marriage date, but it's the wrong
groom. I'm thinking that maybe Phebe's brother William and his wife Mary
might be the parents of the Phebe that married Jeremiah. Unfortunately,
the Brinton book does not have any info about William's descendants.
It's a good thing we all like challenges, right?
