Suzanne, I should have stated thirteen children, not eleven.
The Lindley surname is interesting to me in that it was the middle
name of my gg-grandfather, Rev. Isaac Lindley Taylor (1847-1911) and
his grandson James Lindley Gardiner (1917-1986).

Gregory Morley

I am researching a Quaker family from Orange County, North Carolina
and need
suggestions of where to search.
Here is the family information that I know:
John Woody married Mary Lindley in Maryland in 1738. He died in Orange
County, NC in 1762. I do not know his parentage.
Mary Lindley was born in 1717, possibly in Chester, PA and died in
Orange
County, NC in 1795. Her parents were James Lindley and Eleanor Parke.
I have
no
dates or locations for her parents.
John Woody and Mary Lindley had a son, Joseph Woody who was born in
Baltimore County, MD about 1748. Here is the DAR information for his
Rev.
War service:
WOODY, Joseph

Rank: PS (Patriotic Service)
Death: NC Before (ante) 2- -1815

Children Pensioned: No Heirs Pensioned: No

Joseph is the only child I have for this couple.
I need to find records for this family and ancestors for both John
and Mary.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
