Jacob Smith was a sponsor at the baptism of my gg grandfather's (Cleophas
F Roy dit King) 4th oldest daughter, Mariam Sophia Roy in Pawtucket RI in
1872.
Jacob Smith was born about 1837 in Quebec his wife (Laura in the census
but I wouldn't be surprised if her name was Mariam) was born in Quebec
about 1842.

Question:
Does anybody have a Quebec marriage for Jacob SMITH about 1845 or a birth
of a Jacob Smith about 1837? My guess is that these events would have
occurred in the Sorel area.
