Quite honestly I don't know where my Goodroe's go back to placewise.
My Great Grandmother was Emma Goodroe (Demerise Gaudreau on her death
certificate), b. March 18. 1857. She married Edward Bushey/Boucher in 1880;
I don't know where. Everything that I have found so far says that she was
born in Canada or Canada East, nothing more specific. Her parents were
Joseph Goodroe (b. Abt. 1831) and Julia Bursey (b. Abt 1835), married bef.
1855. I have the marriage repertoires from all of the parishes in St Jean
and Iberville counties, and while there are many Gaudreau's, I could find no
hint of them. If they sound at all familiar to you, or if you have any
ideas of good spots to look, I'd certainly welcome them. If you need any
marriage lookups in the repertoires I've mentioned let me know. I keep
meaning to add them and me to the list but just haven't gotten around to it
