we call'em dumplings. and cook with boiled chicken too. yummy.
hamhocks we cook with blackeyed peas on new years for good luck. this
came about after the war between the states. the yankees burned all the
crops. but they left the blackeyed peas...they thought it was trash
stuff or to feed the cows. many people had only blackeyed peas to eat.
