As if that subject wasn't vague enough...

I'm new and am starting to do some research into the geneaology of my husband and my family. My husbands family is going to prove to be difficult as those family members still living don't know the information we need to do some research.

First off, I am looking for grandfather: John Melville Duff Jackson (unsure of the spelling of Melville) - born in Montreal, Quebec on March 12, 1911. He was married on June 3, 1939 to his wife (who is still alive, so I will leave her name out) - also in Montreal, Quebec. John died, I believe in 1980 or 1981 in British Columbia. I understand that he and his wife moved to MIssion, BC in 1945.

That's my starting point - there is a lot of information there so I figured I should be able to make a dent somewhere...thought I would start with all of you - and will in the meantime try to get more information out of grandma.

Thanks in advance for all of your help - I look forward to sharing my family with you and in return learning of yours.

Leslie.
