Hello listers,
Would anyone have access to a copy of the January 1998 volume 19 #1 issue
of
the Habitat Heritage; Journal of the French-Canadian Heritage Society of
Michigan?
There reportedly is an article in that issue regarding Marie-Anne
Christiansen, the wife of Moise DUPUIS, being a captive from the area of
Corlear (Schenectady), NY.
I would very much appreciate knowing what exactly is in that article if
anyone has it.
Regards,
Linnie

I have it, Linnie. I see no such "article". What is in this issue is a
translation by Anita Campeau of a handout from the annual meeting of the
Société franco-ontarienne d'histoire et de généalogie held in 1997 entitled
"New England Captives Carried to Canada During the Old French and Indian
Wars." It's a brief summary and an extract of names (3 1/2 pages) from
Alice C. Baker's 1897 book and Emma Lewis's 1925 book of the same name.
