Mary Jane Desrosiers




July 3, 1923 - Oct. 18, 2002
BROOKLYN - Mary Jane Desrosiers, 79, formerly of Church Street, Brooklyn,
died Friday at the Charlesgate Nursing Center in Providence, R.I., after an
extended illness. She was the wife of the late Norbert Desrosiers who died
July 19, 2001. She was born in Putnam on July 3, 1923, a daughter of the
late Joseph and Clara (Perreault) Martin. She was married to Norbert
Desrosiers on May 19, 1945 at St. James Church, Danielson. She worked for
many years for Moldex Inc., Putnam, until her retirement in 1985. She was a
communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. She is survived by one son
Ronald Desrosiers of Canterbury; one daughter, Carol Caron of Plainfield;
four grandchildren, Melissa Zito of Torrington, Ct., Vanessa Zito of
Sacramento, Ca., Andrea and Andrew Desrosiers of Canterbury; four sisters,
Aurore Bissonette, Yvette Ritchie, Agnes Plantier, and Claire Langevin. She
was predeceased by two brothers, Armand Martin, and Eugene Martin. Funeral
from the Gagnon-Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson,
Tuesday at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church,
Danielson at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
Calling hours are Monday 7-9 PM. The family asks in lieu of flowers that
donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 443 Franklin
Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114-2517.
