Isabel A. Senecal
Feb. 26, 1915 -- Aug. 25, 2003




WAUREGAN -- Isabel A. Senecal, 88, died in Fort Myers, Florida on August 25,
2003. She was the wife of the late John E. Senecal, who died on May 13,
1997. They were married on July 23, 1934 by Fr. Paradis at Sacred Heart
Church, Wauregan. Mrs. Senecal was born in Wauregan on February 26, 1915,
the daughter of the late Clement and Elise (Labelle) Deloge. She attended
Sacred Heart School in Wauregan. Upon completion of her education, she
worked as a winder at Wauregan Mills for four years. During World War II,
she was employed at Royal Robes in Plainfield. In 1957, Mrs. Senecal went to
work at Mansfield Training School as a psychiatric aide, working her way up
to be a supervisor of a psychiatric ward. She retired from this position in
1975, after eighteen years of service. Mrs. Senecal enjoyed sewing and
crafts, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was
a member of the CT State Employees Association Union in Hartford and a
member of the Retired CT State Employees Association. She and her husband
had relocated to N. Fort Myers, Florida in 1980. She was a communicant of
Sacred Heart Church in Wauregan. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law,
Edmond and Alice Senecal of N. Fort Myers, Florida, and Eugene and Emily
Senecal of Bozrah, CT; a brother, Albert Deloge of N. Fort Myers, Florida; a
sister, Mrs. Marie Beyer of N. Fort Myers, Florida; nine grandchildren;
fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by five brothers, Omer, Alphonse, Maurice, Ernest and Rene
Deloge; and a sister, Cecile Santerre-Lavallee. Relatives and friends are
invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at
Sacred Heart Church, Wauregan. Burial following at Sacred Heart Cemetery,
Wauregan. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be made to Hospice of S.E. CT, P.O. Box 902, Uncasville, CT 06382.
Gagnon-Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson is in charge of
arrangements.
