Subject: [Q-R] BICK(BEIQUE)/PAQUET Marriage
Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2004 15:43:25 -0500
The Montreal Notre Dame Marriage Register shows a 27 January 1817 marriage of Jacques BICK (BEIQUE) dit LAFLEUR and Marie Catherine PAQUET dite LAVALLEE with no mention of Jacques being a widower of Catherine CHARTIER which I suspect he was.
Will anyone who has access to the Blue Drouin or other publications/documents on Montreal Notre Dame marriages be so kind as to do a lookup on this marriage and inform me of their findings?
Would a subsequent marriage of a widow/widower in a catholic church necessarily require the mention of a previous marriage, and under what circumstances?
Any information will be most appreciated.
