Kind of irks me a bit when I post some of these stories, and I know they
aren't telling the whole story. But I don't adjust them. One recent note was about
Champlain and Quebec City being captured by the Kirke brothers. Champlain was
sent to England as a prisoner. That's all good history, but what none of the
stories ever mention, at the time Quebec City and Champlain were captured,
there was only a total of 61 people there. Which included Champlain, the other
men, women and children. Hardly a force worth bragging about in capturing them.
