in St. Ours, Canada, April 16, 1848, a son of Michael and *Agathe (Lavallee)
Mathieu. The deceased was a harness maker by occupation and resided here
for 45 years. He was a member of St. Mary's church and was a loving and
devoted father to his family. He leaves ten children: Mrs. Delia Barton of

Middletown, Mrs. John Hoey of this city, Sister Mary Beatrice of the Academy
of the Holy Family, Baltic, Mrs. Dora Roe of Chester, PA, Mrs. Peter Tatro
