The online PRDH has added a new feature which a listing of the names in the church parishes found in Quebec in specific time frames. Here is what is posted for L'Islet:

I believe that the father of Pierre St-Pierre was in fact Pierre DUPUY dit St. Pierre and that his mother was Marie Rose Genevieve LEMIEUX. Fran has already located the marriage record and she posted it in an earlier post, but I will include the URL again ...

So this part is solved I think. The next step, as you mentioned Paul is how the father found his way into Louisiana to have had his son marry there. Another interesting tidbit would be is if the date of birth for the son Pierre could be found as well. This would go some distance in filling in the gaps.

Sorry I was wrong !!!! They did not marry outside Quebec. The one I
found married young 14-15 to the Pierre Dupuy dit St-Pierre that Fran
had found. (On the son Pierre 1st marriage in LA his father is
Francois. On the birth of two grandsons he is Pierre!!)

Could we have a family sheet on them. Pierre Dupuy dit St-Pierre m 1759
l'Islet-Sur-Mer Marie (Rose Genevieve) Lemieu(x)

I don't think the marriage in in the Drouid index. In the l’Isle index
for 1759 it is # 120. I could not find it. Could someone look it up &
verify her parents.

If this is them, all we need to do is find where they were from parents
marriage in 1759 until son shows up in Louisiana before 1794.
