Hi List!

I have some questions. I have just been visiting PRDH. Has anyone on the
list researched the Seguin dit Laderoute families?
Louis married Marie Anne Shoentakouani.

Marie Anne's parents were Ignace Raizenne Shoentakouani and Marie Elisabeth
Nimbs Touatogouach

These names sound Indian to me.

But then Marie Anne's parents are: Geoffry Nimbs and Mirabelle Smeed ( which
sound English ...like from England)

and Ignace Raizenne Shoentakouani's parents are Jean Raizenne (looks french
and Sarah Halle, which seems like England to me.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I am not from Canada, but have researched
a lot of my French Canadian Beauchamp line and others.

And another place, I have not heard of is 'Oka' ! Where or what is this?
