Here what I found recenlty in PRDH about Jean Iffland married with
Marie-Madeleine Bideau dit Portugal:
- Marie-Madeleine Iflande, born & bap. 3 March 1790 Quebec
- Jean-Philippe Iflande, born & bap. 26 December 1791 Quebec
- Bernard Effland, born 12 & bap. 13 May 1793 Quebec
- Pierre Heflande, born & bap. 9 November 1794 Quebec, died 20 & buried 21
November 1796 Quebec (2 years old), father: Jean Hiffland, cabaretier
- Patrice Effland,, born 16 & bap. 18 March 1796 Quebec, father: Jean
Effland, cantinier
- Jean-Baptiste Hiffland, born 22 & 23 December 1796, died 23 & buried 26
December 1796 (1 day old), father: Jean Iffland, cabaretier
- Ignace Hiffland, born 25 & bap. 26 December 1796, died 25 & buried 26
December 1796 (2 days old) in Ste-Anne cemetery, father : Jean Iffland,
cabaretier
- Antoine Efflent, born & bap. 3 March 1798 Ste-Foye, father: Jean Efflent,
agriculteur & aubergiste in Ste-Foye, godfather: Christian Becker &
godmother: Catherine Bido Portugal
- Anonyme, died 18 & buried 19 November 1799 Ste-Foy, father Jean Efflent
Jean Hiflande witnessed also as brother-in-law in M 13 September 1796 Quebec
of Jean Christian Chandler and Elisabeth Bideau, Christian Becker was also
witness of the bride as brother-in-law. I don’t know if it is the same
person but a Jean Effland died 11 & buried 12 November 1799 at Hôpital
Général de Montréal (50 years old), soldat volontaire & allemand de nation.
There is also Jean Wagner (German) married to Louise Paul-Michel with two
sons:
- Philippe Vagner died 6 & buried 25 January 1792 St-Nicolas (5 months old),
buried by George Lettre/Loeder, parents are said being both Protestants
- Jean-Baptiste Vaigners, born 8 & bap. 26 Octobre 1793 St-Nicolas
