Apparently the "other" place mentioned in your message to the
Quebec-Research list as one you did not recognize is Chagouamigon, and the
original question was directed to the Quebec list and not the
Quebec-Research list.
I wondered about that as I thought had not seen the original query on the
Quebec-Research list. With so many answers recently by Best Bill, though,
I could have missed it as I scrolled through the digest version. It's easy
to send a message to the other list. I have done it myself!
Again, sorry for any misunderstanding, as the 1725 date requested does
identify the place as the present location of the reconstructed fort.

Hi,
It is my turn to ask questions on this list,
where are those two places,
Chagouamigon, Missillimakinac,
These were destination for two " engagés de l'Ouest" - circa 1725.
Hired for the west.
Thanks in advance.
Des.<

I don't have your Menard, but I have Jacques, then Jean Bpte Menard, then
Marguerite Menard who married Francois Lamoureux-St-Germain. Jacques was
the one married to Catherine Forrestier.
