Jette: Marguerite was Jacques 2nd wife. He first m. Louise MORIN at Quebec
in 1699 and had 3 kids with her. Jacques PAYAN dit SAINT-ONGE (s/o Francois
& Madeleine CANTIN) b. about 1682 at Ste-Colombe, district of Jonzac, old
province of Saintonge (hence his dit name), departement of
Charente-Maritime, France; shoe cobbler. Marguerite (d/o Jean & Marie-Claire
de LaHOGUE b. Claudine-Martine 20 Aug 1687 at Quebec. Marguerite had at
least 9 kids but 4 died young.
If you are going to do much pre-1800 Quebec genealogy I suggest you take a
look at PRDH at http://www.genealogie.umontreal.ca/en Also see if you can
get access to Jette for pre-1731 Quebec genealogy.
