Dear Tom:

PAR is the contraction for Parrain, which means Godfather, MAR is the
contraction for Marrain, which is Godmother. I think TEM is the contraction
for Temoins, which is witnesses.

I have a copy of an R.C. bdm list from Stanstead, P.Q.
There are some
terms I don't understand.

For example:

Mary 56ans F [Conj: Louis Maheux]
TEM: John Maheux ET Zoel Hudon

AND

Andrew H. [Thomas Dunn, Esther Shippey)
PAR: Thomas Dunn MAR: Phoebe Doples

What are Conj. [Suspect this is a spouse]
TEM
PAR
MAR
