Des, Paula:

I rechecked Jetté. Pierre GUILLET dit Lajeunesse married Jeanne SAINT-PÈRE,
and not, as I inadvertently wrote, SAINT-PIERRE. Same for his brother
Mathurin who married Jeanne's sister, Catherine SAINT-PÈRE then.

The PRDH writes St-PAIR as the "standard" way of wrining their name, but
civil acts have really mistreated the name: I have also seen therein, for
Jeanne, besides St-Pierre: Sainper, Destper, Despair, Sainpère, Saintper,
... The 1st even mention of her in the PRDH is 7 on 1649 at the baptism of
their son Mathurin.

Catherine's name suffers the same fate. She 1st appears on 5 May 1654 when
she gives birth to the firts child of what was her 2nd marriage to Nicolas
RIVARD Lavigne.

I do not know where Drouin got his data about Catherine's 1st marrauige
from ...

"Fichier Origines" at
http://www.genealogie.com/cgi-bin/fo/afficher.cgi?20030503l3502 clains both
Jeanne and Catherine arrived in 1642 and gives their respective dates of
birth. But it uses SAINT-PÈRE, which corersponds to today's spelling.

Coming back to SAINT-PIERRE (as opposed to Saint-Père) those were an
altogetrher different family. My apologies for the mix-up.

Jean-Paul

As for their places of marriage, I do not have Loiselle. Jetté is vague and
only says "in TRois-Rivières in about ...."
