Salut Danielle...
This is a family that had 2 "dit" names.
The name was FILIATREAU-dit-BARBEAU but the family sometimes used St-LOUIS.
So I guess you could say it was FILIATREAU-dit-BARBEAU-dit-St-LOUIS
Gary....

for the date of birth of my gr. gr. grandmother, some family members were
saying that there's a possibility that she was native indian but not sure.

certificate. But on the christening papers of her children she is under
FILIATREAU OR FILIATREAU DIT ST-LOUIS. She was married to Louis GAUTHIER on
August 24th, 1852 in St-Eustache. In the 1901 Quebec census, the date was
February 6th, 1834 but in those census, the date aren't quite accurate.

marriage certificate, they mentioned that the father is André BARBEAU DIT
ST-LOUIS and the mother was Louise BRUNETTE, she was a minor when she
married.

know if it's the priest that could have a done a mistake on her marriage
certificate. I would really love to have any informations regarding my
family member.
