My Family draws its descent from Brooks - Queen ( Prince George's County, Maryland) and
Washington, DC... Jehiel Brooks married Ann Margaret Queen ( the Brooks family goes back
to Concord, MA ) .. I'm trying to discover the line before Ann Margaret QUEEN in Maryland...
In addition, my grandfather was History chair at Catholic University in DC, and I did my graduate work there ......... I lived near " Queen's Chapel Road... and I was told that the Queen family had built
a Catholic chapel there. So I'm wondering if there was a conversion which took place in Maryland ??
( Mary of Scotland was, of course, Catholic ) ... but I would assume any Scottish descendents would be of other Christian faiths .... could someone clarify ...
In addition, it occurs to me that Walter Brooks ( Jehiel's son ) led a somewhat dissolute life and
sold land ( formerly belonging to the Queen family ) .... perhaps I should apologize for that ...
