Debbie,

I have seen a reference to Thomas Quick as late as 1767 in the deed books
for Bertie County... We find references to Thomas Quick in county records
from the 1720's to late 1760's ( so far)... I am still gambling that the
Thomas of the court record of 1742 where he proved his family.... is the
father / or grand father to Aquilla and the others...

There apparently were no other Quicks in Bertie County... Thomas is the only
one we find... and after the late 1760s-70s... we find no others... or at
least I have not...

Another mystery for me is the family of 1742... In the listing mentioned in
the court case... is Thomas (the head of the family) and his wife mentioned
in the listing... or are the family members mentioned exclusive of
parents...

There was at least one other male Quick in the family....Willis.... and what
happened to him??? We need to try to determine what Parish Bertie was in
and see if there are any published Parish records that may have recorded
births and deaths....

The information that you found is good!!!! Maybe stuff like this will lead
to more info....

Glenn
