Looking for addison Quick Supossedly married to Lucinda ? For a friend. This is what I have, can anyone Help?

Jesse Larenzo Quick Born 09/16/1891 In Mayase, Indiana, Died 11/08/1948 In Niles Michigan

His wife was Gladys Viola Rhodes, born about
1898 In Churubusco Indiana. 10/21/1937 in South Bend.

Gladys is listed in the 1930 Census as being born in indiana, her father Grant Rhodes was listed as being born in ohio, her mother Susan C was listed being born in indiana, and her parents being born in ohio.

1930 and 1920 both of these families were listed in indiana, St Joseph county, City of South Bend, Township of Portage.

1930 on Bissell street or ave?, 1920 on Van Buren Street.

1910has Elija and Clara In southbend as well, on south lafayette street.

Children Jesse L, Rena E. , Bert L. Edith, Elsworth, Stella E. , Ethel, and Edith. in the 1910 record, elijah is listed his parents as being born in virginia. his occupation is that of a carpenter.

1930 Elijah and clara are listed in Fulton County, aubbeenaubbee Township, Delong Village. they are about 69 years old here.

1900 lists Elijah and clara with their children in Fulton county, Henry Township.

1920 has Elija and clara in Portage. with children Delbert and Edith.

The original marriage record for Elija E. Quick and Clara Zimmerman married 06/23/1884 can be located in Miami county, Peru, Book Titled index to marriage record 1850-1920 book c7 page 265

the 1890 census is not available. this is where the problems arise, as if i had that record perhaps i could fit more of this together. 1880 The only elijah i could find in indiana is of the correct age, i have no reason to doubt this would be your elijah, he is in the household of a John and Mary Rife, He is listed as a boarder. occupation laborer. location Richland Township in miami County

now begins the real confusion, 1880 i believe it is not relative that in 1880 in the state of new york is a joseph quick married to lucinda, with children martin, elijah, james and a name i cannot read. however this elijah is 8-years younger


I also find in 1880 lucinda quick, alone with son Raper H? daughter in law Leonora. also in the household a Forgy? Churchill the Husband of lucindas daughter louisa M.
this record is in cass county New waverly, Miami twp.

In 1870 this same Lucinda Quick can be found married to CR quick, physician, children raber(raper) , and elmer , with a CP forgy married to Lew (Louisa?) Location, Cass County Miami Twp

1860 lists this same lucinda as being married to caleb R. Quick Physician. Children Lowery L?, and Ruper H. Lucinda is listed as being born in lancaster pa, Caleb is listed as being born in Augusta Co. Virginia. Lowery born in clark co ohio, and ruper born in champagne co ohio. (first time i saw that much detail on a census record.) but this help me take them to 1850

in 1850 champagne co ohio, jackson twp, is caleb, occupation merchant, age 38, lucinda, Lillie?, Louisa, and a name i cannot quite make out.

1870 michigan there is an addison quick who was born in ny married to a woman named mary, son harbri? and a son fred nothing looks promising here 1860 Addison Quick born in indiana, age 25 married to a woman named margaret, children james b. and mary e.

1850 there is an addison age 15. in the household of a George W. Quick, with household members amanda?, Elijah, addison, amanda , milton, cyrus, mary, thomas, harrison, and sarah.

This record leads me to believe that cyrus married to lucinda was the brother of addison.

now for some other info.

someone on ancestry.com has elijah eads quick born 7-4-1861 married to clara zimmerman. the children are correct, i expect this is a relative, but have not yet recieved a response to my e-mail. another person has addison born dying in miami indiana which is where we have found lucinda this person lists elijah as being born in denver indiana. LDS has a post of george washington quick married to susan ann lines, children elijah e, addison, cyrus clayton, , then another has addison quick married to a margaret d. cole.

I expect Addison is of the George Washington Line.
