Subject: [QUIGGLE] Freespace beta offer
Date: Fri, 8 Oct 1999 15:59:27 -0400 (EDT)
What do you think? The web is changing and so have patterns of web
usage. Please
post your comments to the list.
Rootsweb is offering a beta test of free web pages with unlimited space.
This will allow everyone to put their information on a web page which they
manage themselves and which could be linked to a central surname page.
This week's Rootsweb Review Vol2:40 has the announcement.
A small text page with a first name, approximate date and place report
and a brief general description of sources, and no personal data on
living persons and no copyrighted material, should, hopefully, be easy to
set up.

The URL for requesting a page is
http://cgi.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/acctform.cgi

Joe Hebert "Oldbear" has offered to help set up pages. (He is an expert
and patiently helped me set up my first pages.) He can be reached at
