Did any of your Quinns ever live in Philadelphia PA. Margaret Quinn was born
in 1844/45 in PA and married John Hare in Philadelphia on July 6 1865.
Do you have any info on Phila. Quinns. Her parents were from NY.
Thanks.

Article Dated July 24, 1924
MINOOKA - Minooka, July 24 - Members of the C. P. club who have not yet made
final settlement for tickets are asked to do so at once, as Chairman Callery
of the general committee, is anxious to have the accounts closed at once so
that the exact amount realized on the social will be known. It can be stated
at
this time that the social was a big success , and Mr. Callery and other
members
of the committee who directed the work feel deeply obligated to the men and
women of the club for the spirit of co-operation manifested by them.
Among the many out-of-town people who attended the funeral of James EGAN
yesterday were Mr. and Mrs. P. J. QUINN, of Philadelphia. Mr and Mrs. Quinn
are
natives of Minooka. Thirty years ago, P.J was a political power in
Lackawanna
township which at the time included the boroughs of Moosic and Taylor. He
served
two terms as township supervisor and for a few years was employed on the The
Times, having charge of agencies between Carbondale and Pittston. For
several
years before her marriage Mrs. QUINN was a teacher in the Minooka public
school. About twenty years ago Mr and Mrs QUINN took up their residence in
Philadelphia. Mr QUINN is in the real estate business in the city and spends
much of
his time in Atlantic City, where he is interested in the sale of a large
tract
of land to be laid out in lots for home building purposes.
