There are several recent Edwards and Edgars in my family, but I'm not sure
where the name originated. I'll ask my mother.
Assuming that 18 yo was considered adulthood, Richard's Henry would have not
been born in 1679 when Richard came to the Carolina's. Hotton's lists a
Henry Quintyne coming to the Carolinas that same year. Omitted Chapters of
Holton's also has a "Hennry" Quinton listed on a militia roster around the
same time.
I need to go back and check the dates on this one. My notes aren't clear.
I'll let you know what I find.
