Subject: [RABURN-L] WWI Draft Registration for Northern Virginia
Date: Tue, 24 Dec 2002 10:12:38 -0800
WORLD WAR I Draft Registration for Northern VIRGINIA. Between
June 1917 and September 1918, 24 million American men aged 18
to 45 registered on one of three dates. Thus, we have a near
universal record of men born between 1872 and 1900 and alive on
their registration date. 11,075 names are included in this
index of registrants for the City of Alexandria, Alexandria
(now Arlington) County, and Fairfax County. The source is
microfilm from the National Archives and Records Administration
RG163 M1509, roll numbers: VA3; VA4; and VA20. [TWO-LINE URL]

NOTE: you may have to 'cut and paste' the address, as my first attempt said "Access Denied".
Hope you find an ancestor among these VA Rolls.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
