I belong to a group that does cemetery research in Northeast Tennessee. I have been told that there is a Capt. John Rader, Revolutionary War Soldier, his wife and three daughters buried in the Hise Cemetery between Johnson City and Jonesborough TN. Can anyone verify this information. The cemetery is in a bad state of neglect and the stones have been taken from the graves and piled in the middle of the cemetery. The grave of Capt. Rader is not marked and there is no stone here for him.

Could this possibly be a Civil War Soldier and not Reveloutionary War?

I was told that an old house belonging to Capt. Rader was once standing near the cemetery. According to my sources the house had been a log house that was later covered with clapboard.

Any informationon this cemetery and the people buried there would be helpful.
