==================Shere's Msg ==============
My name is Sherre Ragan Calouri. I am just beginning the search for my
Ragan roots. My father's mother died when he was three years old and he was
raised by his mother's sister who lived in California. Our family just
doesn't have much information. Any help would be appreciated.

My great-grandfather:

John Benjamin Franklin Ragan
January 26, 1846 (Macon, Georgia, I think)
Died May 15, 1907 (Fort Worth, TX, maybe)

Great-grandmother

Mary Holland Gamble Ragan
January 21, 1849 (Georgia)
Died March 19, 1927 (Fort Worth, Texas - Bethesda Cemetary

My father tells me that John was a Civil War Veteran and that in 1925 she
was granted a civil war pension of $8.00 per month. She was living in Fort
Worth, Texas, Tarrant County. Sounds remote due to his age)

John and Mary's children:

George Oscar Ragan
4-28-1871 Fort Worth, Texas
Died 5-14-37 Fort Worth, Texas

Ida Belle Ragan Dickinson
7-4-1875 Fort Worth, Texas
3-6-35 Fort Worth, Texas

James Franklin Ragan (MY GRANDFATHER)
6-29-1879 Fort Worth, Texas
11-23-1947 Los Angeles, CA Forest Lawn Cemetary, Glendale

Mary Maude Ragan Hames
8-29-1882 Fort Worth, Texas
8-2-1963 Fort Worth, Texas

Elisha Felix Ragan
3-30-1985 Fort Worth, Texas
2-4-1062 Fort Worth, Texas

Elisah may have had one son Stanley who used Reagan and Ragan. Lived near
Burleson, Texas

My grandfather James married:

Minnie Myrtle Ellis
9-13-1889
Died 1918 Los Angeles, CA Forest Lawn Cemetary, Glendale

Minnie and James had the following children:

James Floyd Ragan (MY FATHER)
6-15-15 Eagan, Texas
Still living in Arizona

Infant daughter who died in flu epidemic
