Hi Cousins:

Trying to find out all I can about great, great grandma Ragan from Randolph
County Alabama circa 1880. She married a man named John Thomas Goodson from
Villa Rica, Georgia and had the first of her 4 children in 1881, Tom. I know
Mary's mother's name was Mollie. That her ancestors stayed east and managed
to hide themselves from the trail. Both Mary and John Thomas are thought to
be of Cherokee descent. One of her daughters, Mary Louis Goodson, married a
man named Louis Fikes in Marion County Alabama. These are my grandmother's
parents. Mary Louis was the third of Mary Ragan's daughters.

Does this connect with anyone? We know that part of Grandpa Goodson's folks
(dad and uncles) fought and died at Shiloh during the "woah".

Any help is , of course, joyfully received. Thank you.

Alicia
