RAGSDALE from I am descended from John RAGSDALE
-b~1720 Pr Geo Co VA, son of Edward RAGSDALE, through John RAGSDALE's
daughter Frances RAGSDALE who m LeRoy BUFORD. LeRoy BUFORD is bur
Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church, Chester Dist SC, where his and
Frances RAGSDALE's dau Mary ("Polly") BUFORD m Rev John Baird DAVIES,
and he served that church some 40 years before leaving to become lst
president of Davidson College.

Their daughter Louisa Susannah DAVIES m Rev Samule Blain Owen WILSON,
son of Rev Samuel Blain WILSON, founder of the Presbyterian Church at
Fredericksburg, and who owned & reared his family in the former home
of Mary WASHINGTON, mo of the Pres, from l8l4-l843. Rev SBO WILSON
was a trustee at Davidson and founding member of board of trustees at
Concord Female College, Staresville (now Mitchell college), & retired
to Woodville TN, where he and Louisa are bur, behind a BAPTIST church
-The Baptist congregation bought the land that Wilson Memorial
PRESBYTERIAN Church was on, when it was abolished in l947.

Rev SBO WILSON and Amelia Virginia FLEMING had a number of children,
#10 of the 11 was my (Catherine) grandmother "Minnie" Florence Amelia
b 21 Ap. l879 near Third Creek Presb church, Cleveland NC (between
Statesville & Salisbury,) where David FLEMING & wife Amelia Virginia
WILSON Fleming and 2 of their babies, and other FLEMING kin are bur;
...and where Rev SBO WILSON pastored 1853=1860.
My mother, Minnie Catherine CHAPMAN was b to Minnie FLEMING & husband
Benjamin Washington CHAPMAN Jr. Minnie Catherine CHAPMAN m George L
FRYER. Per RAGSDALE - LDS has this line in ancestral files to 1484.
I have BUFORD to c l617 in Eng, (Richard BUFORD
b, ; d Middlesex co VA), I am from their son John BUFORD b 1642 &
Elizabeth PARROTT,...Their son Thomas BUFORD b 1663 &
wife Mary;...Thomas BUFORD and Mary's son Henry BUFORD b 1684...
Henry BUFORD & Mary Osborne's son
Henry BUFORD Jr. b 1710;... His and Frances (maybe CORBIN) son
LeRoy BUFORD 3rd b 29 Ap 1751 who MARRIED Frances RAGSDALE!
(and LeRoy BUFORD 3rd & Frances are parents of Mary ":Polly" BUFORD
who m Rev John Baird DAVIES...above)
I am still am stuck 3 places in the 6th generation on
John FRYER, wife Martha LANDRETH, and Sam FLEMING's first wife!
