My ancestor was Burrell Ragsdale, b. 12/7/1799 in Logan Co. Ky. d. March 6,
1877 in Logan Co. Ky (documented by photo of his tombstone). He was married
first to Sandell Crane and second to Olive Frances Foote (my line). I am
trying to find out who his parents were. My best lead is Frederick, b.
Sept. 12, 1768 in Halifax Co., Va. d. June 20, 1845 in Logan Co. Ky. He
was married first to Marian (?) don't know when, but he was married 2nd to
Sally Chase in June of 1804. I have a copy of his estate settlement and
also Sally's, but no will has been located at this time. Frederick was the
son of Daniel Ragsdale and Phoebe (?) and Daniel was the son of Benjamin
Ragsdale and Martha Jones. Benjamin was the son of Godfrey, Jr. and Rachel
Peters (?) - he being the sole survivor of the Indian Massacre 1644.
Does anyone have any information on this line - it surely would be
appreciated.
