Hi:
Mrs. Blake Ragsdale Van Leer stated in her book, "Ragsdales of America" that
she published jointly with Mrs. June Hard Wester, that several other
people by the name of Ragsdale came to America but they had no issue as far
as she could determine.
Mrs. Van Leer did research concerning the Ragsdale surname for well over
fifty years. She was a firm believer in documenting genealogical research.
The book is not handy at the moment, however if you wish, I can look it up
and quote the exact words.
Floyd Ragsdale

> RAGSDALE RESEARCHERS: There has been some speculation that all Ragsdales
in America are descendants of Godfrey. There was a John "Rigsdale" and his
wife Alice on the Mayflower which landed on these shores in 1620. Do you
think this couple were "Ragsdales"?
