I did a quick look at the 1870 census index on ancestory and only found one Jane of this age in AR. She was the dau of Luther and Nancy and Conway county is not exactly NE AR.
Maybe you need to back up a step and look at all the documentation that you have for Jane Ragsdale b. 1867... Where? When did she marry? Before or after the 1880 census and where? Do you know the names of any of Jane's siblings?
If Jane was born in 1867 and gave you this information between 1940 and 1960 she would have been older and you should have been younger! Did one of you misunderstand the question or the answer? Just trying to help. I found a family recently that I called myself looking well for about 20 years now with just a slightly mispelled name.

Hello, I am looking for William Ragsdale who married Elizabeth Meredith
in NE Ar, in the 1860. They are my great grandparents and I thought I
would be able to find them easily since my grandmother Jane Ragdale b.
1867 had told me about them. But they both died in the late 1870's or
early 1880's in South East Missouri ( I think!) If anyone has any
information about them, I certainly would appreciate hearing from you.
They are a brick wall for me. Thanks Bille
