I must apologize for the mistake I made in this post. I was trying to do a
couple of things at once and I am one of those that cannot walk and chew gum
at the same time!!! :~)
I mistakenly posted that Henry and Patsey Rains LEONARD died in 1900, and
actually, Henry died at the home of his daughter Mahala, in 1876, and we
have no knowledge of when Patsey died or where she is buried.
My grandparents, Alfred and Martha WOODWORTH LEONARD are the ones that died
in 1900.
(Please 'scuse me) Mary

my great grandmother, Patsey (Martha) Rains b. 1795 in Randolph Co. N.C.

Randolph Co. N.C. They had several children in Randolph Co., before leaving
for Indiana in 1829. Several of their children remained in Indiana, married
and are buried there. They left for Iowa in 1849 and are in the 1850 census
of Wapello Co., Iowa. Henry and Patsey Rains LEONARD died in Ottumwa, Iowa
in 1900 and are buried there.

Mary. She left one living brother John. I think her other brother,
Lewellen, had already passed when she left.

love to know who they are. If you have any information for me, or have any
idea who her parents might have been, please don't hesitate to speak up.
