Have just seen your post about Admiral Sir Bertram RAMSAY.

Perhaps you have long since sorted out his lineage. If not, I can help you. Thanks to some wonderful work by my uncle Alec RAMSAY, I have Bertram's direct line back to the early Ramsays of Balmain, and his distant connection with Helen Prudence RAMSAY and David Malcolm RAMSAY, and of course with us.

The common link between his branch of the family, your branch of the family and my branch of the family is Sir Alexander Burnett RAMSAY of Balmain, 1757-1810.
