Keri Ann: Do you suppose your Rectors could have been British
loyalists and escaped to Nova Scotia after the Rev War and just stayed
there?? The Rectors came from Va and Pa. One of my ancestors, came
from New Jersey via New York and joined the loyalist movement and in
1783 mustered out to Nova Scotia after losing his land etc because he
was loyal to Britain. He stayed in Nova Scotia for awhile and them went
to southern Ontario with a group of United Empire Loyalists ...Of course
this particular guy was not a Rector...
