Hello Ian,

I have copied a bunch of OPRs and Census records for the Redpath name in the Roxburgh area. Here is what I found in my notes
I found the births of Jasper and Archibald in the Sprouston Records too. I could find no mention of this family in the 1861 census for Rox. or Ber. In Northumberland 1861 census, for Carham, hamlet of Howburn I found the following

George Redpath / H / widow / 55 / shepherd / Scot.
James " / S / U / 28 / aglab / Scot
Margaret " / D / U / 21 / aglab / Scot
Janet " / D / U / 19 / aglab(crossed out) / Scot
George " / S / U / 16 / aglab / Scot
Archibald " / S / U / 13 / sheherd App. / Scot

Could the following family maybe be related, found living in the same hamlet as George
James Whitehead / H / M / 60 / Farmer of 282 acres / Scot
Employing 11 men
Isabella " / W / M / 67 / Scot
Thomas " / S / U / 18 / Farmers Son / NBL Carham
Jane " / D / U / 16 / Farmers Daughter / NBL Carham
Janet Redpath / Mother-in-law / Widow / 78 / Scot

The ages don't add up very good on the above entry though do they?
