I recently looked at the Old Parish Reg. for Linton and there was not many mentions of Redpath ( some parts of the film difficult to make out )
George Redpath was a witness to a baptism on the 20th July 17??
James Redpath had a daughter born 30/10/1825 named Isabella
George Redpath, Hind (farm worker) at a place called FALLSIDE in the Parish of Linton, had children by his wife Jessie Taylor
James born 06/01/1838
Margaret born 20/08/1839
Janet born 05/06/1841
John Anderson, Hind at Graden had a daughter by his wife Agnes Redpath, 22/11/1844 called Jane Lockie Anderson.
John Redpath, Labourer of Fallside and Isabel Redpath his spouce had daughters
Mary born 10/03/1850
Isabel born 08/11/1852
both children registered on 19/12/1855 ( which was when Official registration was brought in )
You might find the family on the 1841 Census for Linton and the 1851 census for Sprouston.
There is always the Scottish Records on the internet, but it will cost you about £6.00 (six) sterling to search 30 records over 24 hours. I have used it and it is quicker and cheaper than Flying over here.
Heather and I are distantly related, we are looking for a Janet Oliver wife of George Redpath
